There are many subtle nuances to clinic management. One of these is ensuring that you are always up-to-date with Patient Insurance Policies, Authorizations, and Prescriptions. Treating a patient whose Policy/Authorization/Prescription has already expired costs your clinic money. If you’re not finding out about an expiration until billing gets rejected, you’ve lost valuable time and money.
With MedSoft’s Insight Analytics page, we’ve incorporated widgets that alert you to information like Upcoming Expirations before they become a costly problem. Since you’re alerted to this information at the clinic-level, rather than the patient-level, you can work through many patients efficiently and easily. See examples below:
Expiring Policies: Patients will show up on this widget if they have 5 or fewer visits left on their policy, or if there are 7 days or fewer remaining on their policy.
Patients in Closed, Discharged, and Self-Discharged statuses will not show up on this widget.
Patients who have not had a visit in the past 60 days will also not show up on this widget.
Opening a new Authorization will move the existing Authorization to the “Archive.” Archived Authorizations will not show up on the widget. If a new Authorization will not be granted, clinic users have the option to move an Active Authorization to the Archive manually in the Patient Center – Medical Management window.
Patients in Closed, Discharged, and Self-Discharged statuses will not show up on this widget.
Expiring Prescriptions: modifications made for data integrity. Patients will show up on the “Upcoming” portion of this graph if there are 7 days or fewer remaining on their prescription. Patients will show up on the “Expired” portion of this graph if the term date has passed.
Opening a new Prescription will move the existing Prescription to the “Archive.” Archived Prescriptions will not show up on the widget. If a new Prescription is not be granted, clinic users have the option to move an Active Prescription to the Archive manually in the Patient Center – Medical Management window.
Patients in Closed, Discharged, and Self-Discharged statuses will not show up on this widget.
